Intel announced two education student market-oriented tablet
With the growing trend towards digital learning, tablet computers began to enter the igogo tablet android 4.0 classroom, replacing traditional textbooks. To seize this opportunity, Intel (22.7, -0.10, -0.44%) Tuesday released two educational tablet PCs (Intel Education Tablets), designed specifically for students.
Both are equipped with flat-panel Atom processor, running Android system, but the screen size is different. The first tablet with a resolution of 1024 × 600 7-inch screen, equipped with the Atom Z2420 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage space, built-in speaker and microphone, and equipped with the basic front and rear camera, normal can ensure 8 hours of battery life. In addition, the device also obtain IP41 protection class certification, with a waterproof function.
Paragraph tablet with a resolution of 1280 × 800 10.1-inch screen, equipped with a frequency of 1.6GHz Atom Z2460 processor with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage space, in addition to built-in speaker, microphone, and front and rear cameras, but also with a stylus. The device can be guaranteed 6.5 hours of use, the same with a waterproof function.
Both plates have to focus primarily on practical teaching equipped with some of the igogo tablet pc teaching tools that might be used, for example, temperature probes, rear camera head attached magnifying glass. In addition, the two devices are installed a series of educational software, with e-book reader, notes application, drawing application, laboratory instruments, and activities for teachers to use classroom management tools. Security, two tablet mobile devices are equipped with McAfee anti-virus software (McAfee Mobile Security) and Intel-developed anti-theft alarm system (Education Theft Deterrent).
Currently, Intel has not yet announced the price of these two educational tablet and time to market. However, the tablet may not in the retail market, but directly bulk sales to schools.
